Tinita Delivers Five High-Performance Clad Reactors for Specialty Chemical Processing

clad-reactors

Tinita Engineering Pvt. Ltd. has successfully dispatched five high-performance industrial reactors engineered for the speciality chemicals industry.

Extreme demands are put on equipment in specialty chemical environments where corrosive fluids, high pressures and fluctuating temperatures often destroy typical metals. These are serious dangers in operation. High-performance reactors utilize a Stainless Steel 304 structural base for high mechanical strength and external durability. The internal Hastelloy C276 cladding directly contacts and resists aggressive chemicals, preventing severe corrosion from strong acids, chlorine gas, and oxidizing salts.

The reactors utilize the  explosion bonded cladding technology to provide a continuous metallurgical bond between the base metal and corrosion resistant alloy to ensure the structural integrity in severe conditions. This complicated joining technique resists thermal-cycling and pressure variation and performs better than lower-grade mechanical bonding that delaminates more under service conditions.

Stringent quality control and radiographic (X-ray) analysis of critical pressure vessel welds ensure structural integrity and safety under specified conditions. Modern industrial safety requires these non-destructive inspections to prevent field breakdowns.
